I am Nikki Norman and my husband is Pete. Some of you may know of us from our last business; Normans Buses, this was a family owned business for 4 generations, originating in Hikurangi.- a long history in buses and people.
We are in 44 and 46 and were both born and raised in Whangarei in Northland.
Together we have 4 children. Our eldest now lives in Perth and the other 3 are still at home with us. Their ages are 17, 9 & 7. So please bear with us as we navigate this new venture. Our children play sports and we are both actively involved with them, their teams and our community.
I come from a customer focused background. I grew up in hotels and restaurants and trained as a hairdresser, and I’ve continued to work in this field for the past 30 years, all whilst having and raising my beautiful children.
I also have my bus license and have driven the school runs through Normans and I organised and drove select tours for small groups over the years.
Pete was born into buses and raised in the Normans Motors shed in Hikurangi. You might say he was born with a steering wheel and a wrench in his hands. Once leaving school Pete started work with his dad and learnt the panel-beating trade. Panel-beating was his main trade until we bought the business from his parents so they could retire.
We chose to sell the bus company along with school runs so Pete could pursue his earlier passion of car restoration. But alas the draw to customer service and buses has once again pulled us both and the opportunity to continue the fantastic journey of buses and tourism that Jan and Gary have built was too much to resist.
So here we are. About to take on this task of continuing to provide you all with the best tour experience we can with the help and support of both Gary and Jan. So please be assured nothing will change other than the contact details.
We look forward to eventually meeting you all and providing you with the same excellent service.
